Meet Your Doctors
Dr Meiqing Han
Dr. Han is a Chinese-born Australian, who finished his hospital training in Prince of Wales hospital in Sydney before developing a special interest in skin cancer medicine. He has been working full time in skin cancer medicine. He obtained a Certificate of Skin Cancer Surgery, and also graduated as a Master of Medicine (Skin Cancer) from University of Queensland.
Dr Stephen Lawson
Dr Stephen Lawson trained as a GP in the QLD. He has practised in Australia for over 20 years and served as a Medical Officer in the Royal Australian Navy. He has had a special interest in skin cancer detection and treatment as well as general dermatology since 2014. He continues to work in General Practice and Skin cancer is his sub specialist clinical focus. He is confident and experienced in non-surgical and surgical management of skin cancers including the use of flaps and grafts when appropriate.

Dr Serne Kemp
Dr Serne Kemp is a specialist GP with a special interest in skin cancer medicine. Born and raised on the Gold Coast Dr Kemp attended Griffith University completing a Bachelor of Biomedical Science and a Master of Medical Research specialising in Cancer research. He then went on to study Medicine at Griffith University. Dr Kemp worked remotely in the Northern Territory for 6 years which included 2.5 years as the Director of Medical Services for a small remote hospital. Given the difficulty of patients accessing treatment in remote areas and the need for skin cancer services Dr Kemp developed an interest in skin cancer management during his time in the Northern Territory. Dr Kemp has recently moved back to Queensland to raise his young family. He is currently completing the Masters of Medicine in Skin Cancer at UQ. He has a Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and Dermoscopy.
