We perform a range of treatments for skin cancers and pre-cancerous skin lesions, ranging from cryotherapy (freezing) to surgery, all within our well-equipped premises in Chatswood.
Our doctor has more than 20 years of experience working exclusively in skin cancer medicine and has undergone extensive training. He regularly attends appropriate clinical meetings and conferences, exceeding requirements for continuing professional development.
Being able to perform a range of surgical procedures from simple elliptical excisions to complex flaps and skin grafts, our clinic provides a one-stop solution from initial screening to comprehensive management of any skin cancers that are detected.
We take advantage of the latest developments in skin cancer detection. For example, we encourage our patients to have digital images taken of any significant moles. If you have numerous moles, we take systematic full-body images.
These images by themselves are not useful in making a diagnosis of skin cancer (that’s our doctor’s job). We use software that can compare images and aid our doctor in identifying moles that are new or changing. When a series of images is taken over time, the subtle changes of an early melanoma can be detected sooner than otherwise possible.
We offer three types of appointments.
Book a ‘Spot check' if you only want particular spots on your skin checked.
Book a ‘Full skin check’ if you want your whole body checked (recommended if it's been more than a year since you last had this done).
Book a ‘Full skin check and mole mapping’ if you have multiple moles.

All consultations are privately billed as follows
Spot check – $80 ($41.40 Medicare rebate)
Full skin check – $150 ($80.10 Medicare rebate)
Full skin check and mole mapping – $200 ($80.10 Medicare rebate)

Meet Your Doctors at Chatswood Clinic
Dr Dayalan Masi
Dayalan grew up in country NSW before completing his medical degree at the University of Sydney. After his graduation in 1988, he worked in the hospital system for a number of years training in histopathology, before running his own GP practice for more than a decade.
For the last 20 years he has focussed on a number of his more specific interests including skin cancer management, medical laser treatments and cosmetic medicine. He has completed a number of postgraduate courses in skin cancer medicine and appreciates that thorough skin checks and early intervention will provide the best outcome for his patients. He is excited by new technologies, such as digital skin imaging, that enable earlier detection and minimally invasive management of skin cancers.
When not at work, he is kept busy enjoying life with his wife and a pair of young twins.
