Our doctors are highly trained and our results are processed in our own specialist pathology laboratory – which is the biggest in Australia and does nothing but skin cancer. Our clinics and labs use state-of-the-art technology to improve the patient journey and enable the highest standards of medical care.

Southern Cross Skin Cancer is a private clinic. We do not bulk bill consults; however, we offer discounted rates for concession card holders (biopsies and most excisions are bulk billed). Medicare rebates are processed on the day of your appointment, please bring appropriate cards with you: Medicare, Pension, Health Care and DVA (restrictions apply to White DVA card holders). Referrals are not required.

Dr Dan Martin joined Southern Cross Skin Cancer Clinic in Feb 2014.Dan has worked in a variety of fields and locations of medicine: from rural GP in Narooma, aboriginal health in Darwin, to the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Broken Hill, NSW.

Dan’s qualifications include: Graduate Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine, Graduate Certificate in Dermoscopy, Post Graduate Diploma in Skin Cancer Medicine, Advanced Skin Cancer Surgery Masterclass, Certificate in Dermatology and aesthetic medicine.

Dan is a father of three children and a keen surfer who enjoys catching a few waves before work. He is extremely passionate about skin cancer medicine and has built up a strong client base at the clinic.

Bronnie is an experienced GP in both Canada and Australia, having returned to Australia permanently to work exclusively in skin cancer.
Over the past 4 years, Bronnie has undertaken a comprehensive portfolio of professional development courses in Skin Cancer Medicine and has obtained university-certified Certificates in Skin Cancer Medicine, Skin Cancer Surgery and Dermoscopy.

Passionate and approachable, Bronnie is dedicated to helping prevent and treat melanomas and other skin cancers by early detection with meticulous skin checks.

Dr Theo is a highly qualified general practitioner who has always had a strong interest in Skin cancer and surgery and Aesthetics.
He has undergone numerous post graduate training courses following his medical degree (from Flinders University of South Australia) in the field of skin cancer medicine and surgery.

He has completed the following post graduate training in Skin Cancer Medicine & Surgery:

– Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine;
– Certificate of Dermoscopy;
– Professional Certificate of Skin Cancer Surgery;
– Advanced Certificate of Skin Cancer Surgery:
– Professional Diploma of Skin Cancer Surgery;
– Professional Certificate of Aesthetic Medicine;

He is a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.
Dr Theo is highly competent and identifying and treating all types of skin cancers. Importantly however, he takes the time to listen to your concerns and to then focus on providing a thorough examination of your skin, addressing any areas of concern.
He then uses high quality digital photography to capture accurate images of any suspicious skin lesions, and of course will perform a biopsy if he believes there is any suspicion of a skin cancer.
His motto is “when in doubt – cut it out or biopsy it” when it comes to any suspicious skin lesions. Dr Theo believes in taking whatever action is necessary to ensure that you are in no doubt as to whether any suspicious skin lesion is a cancer or not.
Highly skilled, professional and honest, Dr Theo will make sure that you are treated with a high level of skill and professionalism at all times.
Dr Theo has 2 children and enjoys numerous outdoor activities including running, bike riding, hiking, gym work, and swimming, and is very focused on keeping fit, healthy and active for many years to come (indefinitely).
