Southern Cross Skin Cancer is a private clinic. We do not bulk bill consults; however, we offer discounted rates for concession card holders (biopsies and most excisions are bulk billed). Medicare rebates are processed on the day of your appointment, please bring appropriate cards with you: Medicare, Pension, Health Care and DVA (restrictions apply to White DVA card holders). Referrals are not required.

Dr Dan Martin
Dr Dan Martin (MBBS FRACGP) Uni Sydney, joined Southern Cross Skin Cancer Clinic in Feb 2014.Dan has worked in a variety of fields and locations of medicine: from rural GP in Narooma, aboriginal health in Darwin, to the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Broken Hill, NSW.
Dan’s qualifications include: Graduate Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine, Graduate Certificate in Dermoscopy, Post Graduate Diploma in Skin Cancer Medicine and Advanced Skin Cancer Surgery Masterclass.
Dan is a father of two girls and a keen surfer who enjoys catching a few waves before work. He is extremely passionate about skin cancer medicine and has built up a strong client base at the clinic.
Dan works Monday (11am until 5.45pm), Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8.30am until 4pm. (Dan is also available on Friday morning.)
Dr Annemarie Winters
Annemarie was born in the Netherlands and has studied both locally and abroad as far afield as the United Kingdom and Austria.
Her experience and qualifications include: Emergency Medicine, Diploma of Child Health, Certificate in Dermoscopy and Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine. She became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2013. Annemarie recently completed Certificate in Advanced Dermoscopy & Histopathology and Advanced Skin Cancer Surgery Workshop.
Annemarie gained experience working at different Queensland public hospitals in: paediatrics, ICU and psychiatry. She assists on a regular basis in orthopaedic surgical cases.
Annemarie has three children and has embraced the beautiful Mid North Coast: walking, cycling and yoga.
Annemarie works Monday and Thursday 9am until 1.30pm.
Dr Jo Walker
Jo specialises in women’s health and skin cancer medicine. She is a Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (graduated with first class honours), and has completed: Certificate of Skin Cancer Surgery/Skin Cancer Medicine, Graduate Certificate of Dermoscopy and Diploma of Dermoscopy.
Jo is involved in health education of women and preventative medicine. She also worked at Headspace in Coffs Harbour, which deals with young people aged 12 to 25, primarily with mental health issues.
Jo spends her spare time participating in various competitive endurance sports, whilst successfully juggling her career and family life. Jo’s sunny nature and positive outlook make her a popular member of the team.
Jo works Monday and Wednesday 9am until 2pm, and Friday up to 4pm.
