Dr Markou
Dr. Alex Markou

SunDoctors Glenunga now welcomes Dr Alex Markou (previously at The Strand Skin Cancer Clinic).

In 1999 Dr Alex Markou joined the Chatswood Skin Cancer Physicians in Sydney and underwent further training in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment as well as advanced surgical techniques for the excision of difficult lesions including flap reconstructions.

He completed the Certificate of Dermatology from Monash University in 2000 and gained the Postgraduate Diploma of Practical Dermatology from the University of Wales, Cardiff, UK in 2004. He has been a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia since 2003.

In 2004 Dr Alex Markou established The Strand Skin Cancer Clinic in Colonel Light Gardens and had been exclusively practicing skin cancer medicine and surgery there for the last 16 years before joining the SunDoctors team in Jan 2021.

Dr Annells
Dr Paul Annells

Dr Paul Annells received his Bachelor of Medicine and surgery from Flinders University in South Australia in 1993, and gained recognition as a fellow of the College of General Practitioners in 2000. Dr Annells began his training in skin cancer medicine in 2000 and has had extensive experience in skin cancer work since then and completed many weekend courses and diplomas, in addition to the Masters in Medicine in Skin Cancer from the University of Queensland in 2011. He has completed Diplomas in Dermoscopy and Advanced Skin Cancer Surgery.

He was the principal skin cancer clinic for Rural GP registrars in Southern Queensland for a number of years, during which he established three highly regarded skin cancer clinics in Brisbane. He continues to manage these clinics remotely after relocating to Adelaide in 2020.

Clinical Skills

Dr Annells has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers.

Surgical skills

Dr Annells has extensive experience in flap and skin grafting surgery for facial skin cancers. His skills include flap surgery using advancement, rotation and transposition flaps, and also the specialised use of myocutanous flaps for reconstruction of nasal tip cancers and the keystone flap repair for the challenging lower limb area.

He performs wedge excision for cancers situated on the vermillion of the lip and the eyelid and routinely uses cosmetic wound closure including the use of dermal sutures for internal closure of wounds.

Research

His clinical work also includes collaboration in published research with the University of South Australia and the University of Queensland, and has worked with Professor Tarl Prow on a number of published studies into the genetics of skin cancer and novel and emerging treatment modalities for skin cancer treatment. Dr Annells has been an accredited member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia for over ten years.

Dr Cheng
Dr Sheng-Wen Cheng

Dr Sheng-Wen Cheng is an experienced skin cancer physician, his specialty includes face, torso and upper and lower limbs. He attended medical school at the University of Adelaide and completed his internship at Royal Adelaide Hospital.
Dr Cheng has worked alongside a general surgeon who specialized in major skin cancer at Glenelg Day Surgery and has gained local experience in skin cancer surgery including skin grafts and flaps.

Dr Lin
Dr Ellen Lin

Dr. Lin graduated from medical school in 2011 and completed her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2020. She joined SunDoctors at Glenunga in May 2021. Dr Lin is a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia and has completed its Certificates in Skin Cancer Medicine and Dermoscopy. Dr. Lin is currently undertaking her advanced certification in the area. Dr Lin offers thorough skin checks, biopsy, excision, and advocates strongly for sun protection and safety.

Dr Lloyd
Dr Ceridwen Lloyd

Dr Lloyd graduated from Flinders University in 1990 and obtained her FRACGP in 1995. She is now in her 18th year of skin cancer medicine, seeing three generations of some families and is fully accredited with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia. Dr Lloyd has patients from all over Australia and has a particular interest in post-transplant patients, and those with many moles, and it finds it rewarding to make a difference (sometimes small, sometimes great) to her patients’ health.
Also she enjoys sewing.

Dr Moore
Dr Ben Moore

Dr Ben Moore graduated from Flinders University with a medical degree in 2013. He has been a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners since 2019. Ben works as a GP and has a special interest is in skin cancer medicine. He has completed the Certificate of Dermoscopy, Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and the Advanced Skin Surgery Workshop from the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.

Dr Yen
Dr Wei Yen

Dr Wei Yen graduated from University of Adelaide with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 1994. He commenced his career working as a resident Emergency and Cardiology in Adelaide. He spent several years training and gaining experience in central London hospitals such as St Mary's in Paddington and the Royal Free hospital in Hampstead.
After returning to Sydney in 2000, he developed a strong focus on Skin cancer, Dermatology and Dermatologic surgery. He has extensive specialised training in the diagnosis of Melanoma and other skin cancers, including surgical removal. He concentrates on the prevention, early diagnosis, and early intervention for skin cancer patients in Australia. He has a background in Cosmetic dermatology, laser skin rejuvenation, and hair restoration surgery and medical treatment.
He has obtained certification with the Skin cancer college of Australia and New Zealand. Furthermore, he attends regular conferences on current developments in medical and surgical treatment of skin cancer in primary care. He now works exclusively in this field of medicine. He continually reviews the latest technologies, research and developments in the treatment of skin cancer. He has consulted over 60 000 patients and treated over 10 000 skin cancers and precancers. 
Dr Yen enjoys social tennis and golf. He finds relaxation strumming on an acoustic guitar and painting landscapes in oils on canvas and linen. However, his main pleasure is spending family time with his wife and 2 young daughters.

Dr James Richards

Dr James Richards qualified with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2005, he gained Fellowship from the Royal Australian College of General Practioners and has practiced skin cancer medicine since 2012. He has completed Certificates in Dermoscopy, Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and the Advanced Skin Surgery Workshop from the Skin Cancer College of Australasia and is an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor and keeps upto date with attending conferences and workshops regularly.
He has pursued a Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine from the The American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and does cosmetic skin lesion removals.
In his other time , he works in Emergency Medicine and does locums in rural Australia and has a interest in Men’s Health. He’s a board member for the Clinical and Scientific Committee for Andrology Australia.
He’s also a FIM Certified Medical Officer and does Motorsports events.

Dr Neha Prasad Sinha
Dr Neha Prasad Sinha

Dr Neha is a multilingual GP consultant equipped with extensive medical experience and a diverse set of clinical skills.
Following her induction into the Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2021, she continues to diversify her clinical portfolio and is currently developing a niche in skin cancer management by undertaking a Fellowship Training that is provided by the Skin Cancer College Australasia.
In spite of that, her strongest asset lies in her excellent inter-personal relationship which focuses on clear and concise communication with her patients.

Dr Nikhil Tamminedi
Dr. Nikhil Tamminedi

Dr. Nikhil Tamminedi graduated from Western Sydney University with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2017. He moved to Adelaide in 2020 and attained Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. He has completed certificates in Dermoscopy, and skin cancer medicine/surgery as part of further training, and regularly attends skin cancer related workshops and conferences to advance his skills. He also consults as a general practitioner elsewhere, with an interest in travel medicine, and chronic disease. He is very approachable and friendly, and values clear communication with his patients. In his spare time, he enjoys indoor rock climbing, travelling, and exploring Adelaide's food and wine scene.

Dr Sarah Johnson

Dr. Sarah Johnson is a distinguished Flinders University MD graduate of 2013. Following her graduation, she embarked on a journey that included an internship at the Lyell McEwin and a year at the RAH. Choosing to explore Australia, she worked in various surgical departments across all states and territories, solidifying her passion for surgery, which she discovered while she was a med student.

Dr. Johnson found the practice of minimising scarring during the operative process a challenge she enjoyed. This realisation led her to pursue a fellowship in general practice with an aim for developing a career in skin cancer medicine. Dr. Johnson is currently advancing her skills through an advanced certificate in skin cancer medicine with the Australasian College of Dermatology, aspiring to achieve fellowship status with the College of Skin Cancer Medicine in the future.

In addition to her medical journey, Dr. Johnson brings a unique skill set with undergraduate studies in medical imaging. Her special interest lies in ultrasound-guided removals, especially for deep implanons and foreign bodies. While she consults as a general practitioner elsewhere, she is not currently taking on new GP patients.

Beyond the realm of medicine, Dr. Johnson is a talented embroiderer, having earned several prizes for her needlework at the Royal Adelaide Show. She also finds joy in leisure travel, with plans to explore diverse destinations purely for pleasure in the future.
