Dr Martelle Coetzer-Botha
Dr Martelle Coetzer-Botha

Dr Martelle grew up in South Africa and obtained her medical degree from the University of Stellenbosch. She worked in a few different countries before moving to Australia with her family in 2007. Since then, she has done ongoing studying and training as a General Practitioner in the field of skin cancer as well as dermatology and injectable cosmetic treatments. Dr Martelle is an assistant course co-ordinator on the Skin Cancer Master’s program and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis and running and tries to run at least one marathon a year. In the past, she has played College Tennis in the USA and run many marathons and ultra-marathons.

Dr Peter OHara
Dr Peter O’Hara

Dr Peter O’Hara graduated from Sydney University in 1981, and after years as a resident and registrar in various hospitals, worked as a General Practitioner for 12 years on the NSW Central Coast. He then pursued his interest in skin, and moved to the Sunshine Coast where he has been a full-time skin cancer practitioner for more than 20 years. Besides working locally, Dr O’Hara has also worked in Adelaide, Cairns, Townsville and Newcastle. During the past 20 years, Dr O’Hara has treated tens of thousands of melanomas and non-melanoma skin cancers, supervised the training of medical students and GPs in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, and been involved in skin cancer research. Dr O’Hara loves his work, and he now brings his skills and experience to Sundoctors Nambour.

Dr Kate Jin

Dr Jin is an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor by Skin Cancer College Australasia (SCCA) and holds Advanced Certificates in Dermoscopy, Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery. Throughout years of her practice in skin cancer medicine, Dr Jin has diagnosed and treated many Melanomas, as well as BCC’s and SCC’s on high-risk locations - head, neck and lower limbs. She is able to perform advanced procedures including Flap and Graft. Her goal is to treat and cure cancer first, then close the wound with the best cosmetic outcome in mind, as well as patient preference. This means she may discuss with you, a delayed closure approach to ensure the cancer clearance before wound closure. Dr Jin is passionate about patient care, patient education and disease prevention and regularly updates her knowledge and adopts the latest clinical practices. During her time in clinical research, she has co-authored multiple publications in international journals and conferences. Included in these are the Journal of Clinical Oncology (JCO) and The Lancet Oncology, ASCO.

Dr Olga Golovkov
Dr Olga Golovko

Dr Olga graduated from a medical school in Ukraine in 1999. She moved to Australia in 2017 and worked as a rural GP in Tasmania and Queensland. She has recently relocated to Sunshine Coast.
Dr Olga obtained her Fellowship with Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2019. She has extra qualifications in Dermoscopy and Skin Cancer Surgery and offers comprehensive skin checks, surgical and non-surgical treatment of skin cancer including flaps and grafts if necessary.
In her leisure time she likes hiking, surfing and travelling with her family.
