Dr Jenifer Luman

Dr Luman immigrated to Australia from Southern California in the United States in 2020 with her family.
Dr Luman practised skin cancer surgery in California prior to moving to Australia and has continued her work here.
She is a member of the college of Australasia (SCCA).
Dr Luman lives locally on the Sunshine Coast and still practices all three specialities of emergency medicine, cosmetics, skin checks and surgeries.
Dr Luman enjoys running yoga, surfing and international travel.

Dr David Smith
Dr David Smith

Dr David Smith has lived, worked and surfed on the Sunshine Coast since graduating in Sydney in 1974.
After 40 years as a GP, Dr David completed a Master of Medicine in Skin Cancer through UQ in 2017.
He specialises in the early diagnosis and optimal management of all types of skin cancers with a special interest in melanoma pathogenesis, prevention and diagnosis.

Dr Shane Leavy

Dr. Shane Leavy was born in Dublin but grew up in Perth, Western Australia where he went to school and earned a BSc at the University of Western Australia and a DipEd. In 1996, he travelled to Dublin, Ireland where he studied and completed his medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He returned to Australia in 2003 and has worked in Emergency Medicine for over 12 years. He holds an Emergency Medicine Certificate from the Australian College of Emergency Medicine. In 2015, Shane gained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). He has worked in several GP practices in Perth before relocating to the Sunshine Coast in 2017.

During his time as a GP, Shane discovered a passion for Skin Cancer Medicine. Over the years, he has diagnosed and treated numerous cases of Melanoma, Basal Cell, and Squamous Cell Cancers. Shane is member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia and has completed his Certificate of Dermoscopy and Certificate in Skin Cancer Medicine.

Shane enjoys working at SunDoctors and is experienced in conducting skin checks, biopsies, and excisions of skin cancer if necessary. He values open communication with his patients and is always ready to discuss all available options. Shane welcomes new patients to discuss skin cancer diagnosis, treatment and prevention.

Outside of work, Shane loves his life on the coast with his wife and young daughter. He enjoys surfing and sailing, embracing the sunny beach lifestyle of the Sunshine Coast.
